Welcome back to another chapter for The Deepwater ISBI. I had tried to leave the poll open longer (only to realize I accidentally set it to end after 3 days) so that we could get more votes. And I'm trying to alternate between ISBI and Name Game chapters so that you guys don't get overly behind in one story! But knowing me, what will most likely happen is I'll play one family to an heir poll then while I wait on results play the other family to and heir poll. But we'll see! Coral has won the heir poll for this generation. Since she just became a teen, Moana will still be torch-holder for this chapter and this chapter will end with Coral becoming a YA. If you guys look over on the sidebar where you see a small thumbnail of all the torch-holders, click on Nerissa and then move to the right with the arrow, I want you to see that with exception of very small details Nerissa, Moana, and Coral all have the EXACT facial structure. Coral: hooray! I'm the next torch holder!
Yes, but not until you're a young adult! I know this picture was the last one in the last chapter, but because Coral is our heiress I thought this picture was fitting. Calypso and Oceanus say goodbye to Moana and then they move out, get married, and get pregnant.
Without being in a club gathering, Marlin actually does his homework autonomously.
Moana has been working on her beach life aspiration and so she's been grilling a lot.
Baleen is running away....again.
Coral: Wow, this coffee is amazing! I should just drink this instead of going to sleep. Calypso had a point!
It doesn't do much except give you an energy moodlet.... Coral: Yes but now I feel ENERGIZED! Note: you can see that Oceanus has come to visit and is painting in the background. Moana has been looking for seashells and has completed another milestone. +5
She also found some treasure which completed part of the next milestone, and then she explored the cave which finished the rest of the milestone. +5
Baleen arrives home, and as a welcome home gift she receives a bath.
Moana dozes off on the water float, and completes her beach life aspiration. +15 I gave her Mansion Baron next which she automatically completes the first two milestones for +10 I had been wanting to make their house bigger anyway so, I decided that I would use her having Mansion Baron as an excuse to do that. Let's take a quick tour of the current house before I make changes.
Here is the upstairs. As you can see, there's really not a lot of room up here.
And the downstairs is pretty boring too.
So, i expanded the house three tiles to the back and then six tiles wide. Which has helped significantly.
Here's an updated view of the downstairs.
Note this picture is rotated differently than the previous one of the floorplan. And here's an updated view of the upstairs. I actually had room to make an inspiration and a focus room!
One of the new additions to the house was Thimble.
I also gave them a gaming mat where the old easel used to be.
And here's their updated kitchen. You can't see the backsplash very well but I love it!
This completed milestone three for Moana. +5 The first thing Thalassa does after the house remodel is go yell at Bun Bun. Thimble causes a nuclear explosion, but for once I was actually able to take a picture of it. She did it a bunch.
Thalassa: I SHOULD HAVE BEEN HEIRESS. UGH STUPID CORAL.
But that's Marlin's school project... Thalassa: But if those people had voted for me instead of Marlin, I would've won. Caspian: My descendants are messy. How did this happen? Venessa and I were both neat, why can't my descendants keep up what we worked so hard to build!
To be fair Caspian, Moana has probably contributed more to this family than you guys did since she's the one completing all the aspirations, etc. I was hoping maybe if Moana took Baleen for a walk it would help keep her from running away.
Thimble is so precious!
I'm hoping that when I finally get a position at a school that is contracted for more than one year I will be able to get a class pet. I'd really like to have a hedgehog. A very pregnant Calypso swings by the house and Moana gives her a key.
So, if you put the jet ski in a sims inventory you can make a bunch of cool customizations to it. We completely decked this one out.
Moana is sick, so she drinks some healthy green tea and is magically cured. You can also see our pretty backsplash here. I thought the purple and green was fitting since that's Moana's color palette for her main outfit.
Marlin hacks his grades and gets an A!
Calypso somehow was at a C, so I think she had hacked her grades previously and I missed it. But she hacks them again and now she has a B. It's time for Thalassa to become a young adult!
She's really pretty, and honestly reminds me a lot of a purple version of the simself I made of my Mom a while back.
She hugs Moana and then moves out, gets married, and gets pregnant!
Baleen runs away...again.
But this time she wasn't gone long, but she still needs a bath as soon as she gets home.
And only a few minutes after her bath, she dies!
I wanted the family to have another pet, so this time I decided to get a kitten.
The names the adoption agency had given them, from left to right: Peanut Butter, Cinnamon, and Mr. Business. I'm not going to lie, it was really hard not to adopt all three of them because I'm apparently a cat lady when it comes to sim cats too. Based on their personalities, in the end, I decided to go with Mr. Business (plus I mean his name was too awesome not to,) however, his name is now Lagoon to fit in with the naming theme.
A lagoon is a shallow body of water separated from a larger body of water by barrier islands or reefs Side note: after I named him I realized I should've changed it to Mr. Krabs after SpongeBob. Coral gets an A at school without hacking! However, she's also going through a phase where she likes to blast music.
Lagoon gets really scared by the loud music and starts doing this when he's in the same room as the stereo. Nerissa's ghost is out tonight, but she spends most of her time in the mausoleum mourning Baleen, and then her parents.
I really love Lagoon, he's so precious!
I decided to check the family's progress on the Rosebud achievement, and here we are! I think once Moana dies, or we stop receiving royalties, progress will be coming much slower.
Ellis' ghost was out tonight and Moana was super excited to see him. They made out, and even shared some woohoo together.
For Harvest fest, I decided to appease a gnome, and thanks to the handy chart I found on BoolProp's Discord, I was able to successfully appease him!
I didn't know what to add to get the remaining 140k worth of value to the house, so I decided to just buy 11 of these statues. Due to the lack of room on the property, I had to put most in the family inventory.
This completed Moana's Mansion Baron aspiration. +15 I gave her Bodybuilder as her next aspiration because of the fact that I had purchased steel bladder, never sleepy, and never hungry for her I figured she'd be a great NTH to have in the house since she should be fairly easy to keep happy and therefore a great Grandparent. Yes, I did sell all the statues after. For her first milestone, Moana needed to work out at the gym. +5
Then back at home she needed to push the limits while energized. This proved difficult at first because Moana is lazy. +5
I was loving Thimble's adventures and getting postcards from her so I decided to go to the vet lot and purchase the anti-aging treat for rodents.
Which we promptly gave to her when we arrived home.
Moana spends hours working out on the porch to complete milestone three. (I had forgotten to take the Thanksgiving lights down, but this was only a few short hours after Thanksgiving.) +5 She was already at maximum body potential so this automatically finished and completed her aspiration. +15
I gave her painter extraordinaire next, but she likely will not finish this one. Tonight is her elder birthday, she's definitely been one of my most successful sims in a long time.
If you go to my family tree link on the sidebar, and click on her, you can see all the traits she has and all of the aspirations she's had. Of course, she never completed Rambunctious Scamp or Painter Extraordinaire. She aged really wonderfully and looks happy to be an elder. Except for the fact that her son is shoving his hand through her body, that might be slightly uncomfortable.
I decided to give her a more elder appropriate outfit. I love this dress that came with Tiny Living and I think it's perfect for a lazy sim!
Marlin seems to approve by the looks of it with his confetti. (But seriously, the "celebrate celebrity" action needs tuned. The whole family was doing this all the time.) Lagoon is now an adult kitty, and he's still really cute!
Now that he's an adult, we can get a closer look at his personality.
When I came out of the mirror from giving him the collar, I found him trying to eat Moana's birthday cake.
Luckily, Moana had obviously already used it and she was upstairs working on her painting. This is a terrible picture but it still sold for over $500
And it's time for the last birthdays of the chapter - Marlin and Coral are becoming young adults! Marlin adds noncommittal to his list of traits.
And Coral adds gloomy.
Marlin says goodbye to his mother before moving out and going through the spares routine.
And then Moana's last action as torch-holder is to take a selfie with Coral and pass the torch to her.
The framed selfie is added to the top of the TV with the previous two. That's where we'll leave this chapter! I will have another chapter out soon! Feel free to check in with me over at BoolProp or on my Twitch Stream in the meantime, I'd love to chat! And thank you to those of you who have been following me on Twitch, I apologize that I haven't been streaming much lately, I've just been spending so much time on Zoom for work I've needed some time not on camera.
