Welcome back to The Hayden Legacy! I wanted to apologize ahead of time for how quickly things progress in this chapter. With pets coming in less than three weeks, I've been wanting to try to get this legacy finished so that I can start a new one once pets comes out. I also haven't had a whole lot of time to play, so when I do I like to get as far along as I can, and sometimes I forget to take pictures. When we left off last chapter, Evan and Nathan had just become teenagers and Nathan was getting to hangout with his Grandma Rachel who was warning him to be careful around me. Since, if you remember, I made her die by sunlight so that I could have the pretty vampire grave. The family hired someone to come repair all of the broken appliances in the house. Unfortunately, all she did is stand at the front porch for a few days straight never repairing anything. So, I deleted her from the manage households screen. She never showed up again, but instead we had two gentlemen that showed up and did the same exact thing. So, I deleted them also. This time, it seemed to work. Phoenix: Haleigh? I thought you said the repairmen were gone? Well, they were. Phoenix: Well, now we have two strange repair women on our porch. I'll figure something out. The family has been working on completing a lot of collections, so far here are their plaques. I'm really disappointed that all of the collections don't provide plaques because I have all the geodes but no plaque. Chelsea: Now there are three repair women. What the heck is wrong with these people? Let's try what I did last time, it seemed to work for a few days at least. For anyone curious, I had one of the sims in my household ask each repair person to hang out, which made them go off-duty. It worked the first time, but I had apparently done something weird when I sent Chelsea to explore a lot, so they were there when I got back. However, when I did it this time they never showed up again! For no reason whatsoever, Garrett and Evan got into a fight. I don't remember who won either, but it looks like we have a bad case of sibling rivalry going on here. I'm starting to think that the curry challenge at the Spice Festival is glitched because every time I send a sim to participate in the challenge now they win it on their first attempt, even if they've never eaten any spicy food before. I remember that it used to be harder than that. Garrett has completed his Painter Extraordinaire aspiration just in time for his young adult birthday. For his next aspiration I gave him Fabulously Wealthy. After baking himself a birthday cake, Garrett celebrated his young adult birthday alone in the family's large kitchen. Garrett is an extremely handsome young man. I'm kind of sad that he's not the heir to be honest. But, I'm still happy with Evan as heir. Garrett adds bookworm to his list of traits. He actually has a good combination of traits, I think. I'm pleased with how he turned out. Garrett: Bye Dad. I'll miss you. If anything happens to Evan, I'd be more than happy to take his place as heir. Phoenix: I don't foresee that happening son, but if it does, I'll give you a call. To keep their teenage years at least somewhat interesting, I decided to go ahead and have Nathan become a vampire since he needs that for his aspiration anyway. So, he heads over to his Great-Aunt Cheyenne's house and asks to be turned into a vampire. She gladly obliges her great-nephew and begins the process. Meanwhile, her husband Vlad, watches on and cheers in the background. Nathan: So it says here, I can drink plasma packs instead of drinking from sims. That's how I'll stay a good vampire. A few short nights later, and Nathan's transformation reached the final stages. After levitating in the air briefly, Nathan became a vampire with a terrible dark form. After sending him to the mirror, I was able to give Nathan a much more appealing dark form. I changed his dark form eye color to blue instead of pink because I thought it was more fitting with his blue skin. Phoenix's elder birthday arrived quite quickly! I think Phoenix makes a lovely elder. He aged a lot nicer than most of my male sims do I think. The night of his birthday, Phoenix was abducted by aliens! He didn't end up getting pregnant though, which while I'm grateful for, it was also kind of disappointing. I haven't had any of my male sims get pregnant anymore. It's only ever happened one time. A few sim days later, Phoenix was abducted again. He didn't get pregnant this time either. Tonight is a triple birthday in the Hayden home! First up, our generation six heiress, Chelsea! Chelsea aged into a gorgeous elder, but I think it's time for a new top. It's hard to see from this angle, but her boobs have become more droopy in her old age, so this top isn't as flattering as it used to be. It's also Evan and Nathan's young adult birthday! Evan is very handsome, just like before. I think he's the most genetically unique of the kids thanks to Phoenix since he was a legacy love created by my husband,. Nathan went back to his terrible dark form, which needs to be fixed ASAP. Evan added genius to his list of traits, which I think will make him an even more successful public enemy. Nathan also added genius to his list of traits. Here we have Chelsea's new and improved elder outfit. I kept the blue and white theme, and I think she looks lovely. Nathan looks much better now that I've fixed his dark form appearance. Nathan: Goodbye Mom! Are you sure you don't want me to make you a vampire so you can live forever? That way I don't outlive you? Chelsea: Yes sweetie, I'm sure. Be careful out there, okay? Nathan: I will. The morning after Evan became a young adult, the romance festival was in town. He used this opportunity to get closer to this cute female sim he met as a teenager. Her name is Erika Greenwich. Ironically, because I have MC Command Center installed, she's the daughter of a random townie and ANOTHER of my husband's legacy loves. So, the two of them should produce cute children since they won't look so similar to all the other sims in legacies born by regular townies. The two hit it off pretty well and soon they were sharing their very first kiss together. Unfortunately when Evan proposed, Erika rejected his proposal. It was made worse by the fact that Evan's Great-Uncle Caleb was sitting right there and then proceeded to flirt with Erika immediately after the rejected proposal. After a good nights rest, and plenty of wooing back at home, Evan was able to convince Erika to move in with him! After a make-over, I was finally able to do something about Erika's terrible eyebrows. She looks so much better. Her nose is very similar to Evan's, because my husband tends to make most of his male sims with the same nose, even if he doesn't realize he's doing it. Though, he does use the push/pull/drag feature to do it. I've always loved this little overall outfit, I just never remember to put it on anyone. I had a different color picked out at first, but I thought this one matched her eyes better. I have to say, these two are really adorable together. After moving in, their relationship was a lot easier to get where it needed to be. So, hopefully the next proposal will be accepted. We're about to find out too, because Evan is proposing to Erika now! *I tried to have him propose over on those stones in the water, because they can stand and walk on them, but for some reason they just walked over to the shore. Erika accepted his proposal and then leaped into his arms! Which is one of the things I always enjoyed about the sims two proposals. The couple decided to elope immediately next to the water. Which was rather lovely with the ducks in the background. I now introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Evan Hayden! *I tried to be fancy with the off center picture with the pretty waterfall in the background. After woohooing in the observatory, Erika is now pregnant with the first baby of generation eight! Evan was so thrilled about the news that he distorted his body to cheer. Erika had a few days off from work, so she spent this time to work on her guitar skill and other parts of her aspiration. She always makes this really focused face when she's practicing. Evan also had a few days off from work, so I sent him into town to work on declaring some enemies and getting into some fights. Cheyenne and Vlad's daughter, that the game auto-named Ashleigh, was his first fight and first enemy. We finally got the last alien needed for the alien collection to be complete! I'm really knocking out these collections. I think this makes number 9? I'm not certain. Erika spent most of her pregnancy either eating, sleeping, or playing guitar and so soon she was going into labor with the first baby of generation eight! It's a boy! Meet baby boy Toby Hayden! Toby was a very fussy baby, and whenever he'd cry about one thing, more things would go wrong and it would end up taking several sim hours to get him to stop crying. In addition to breaking all of the appliances, the ghosts have also taken to breaking the dollhouse. Speaking of ghosts, it unfortunately looks like we're about to have another one. Phoenix's time has come. He was a great spouse, and thanks to my husband's awesome sim-making, produce a great looking generation. He'll definitely be missed. Evan was there to witness his father's death, which completed part of his aspiration, but the look on his face is priceless. Only a few short hours after Phoenix's death, it was time for little Toby to become a toddler. Grandma Chelsea decided to do the honors to help keep her mind off her husband's death. Toby aged into a handsome little boy. It's hard to tell what he's going to look like as he gets older though. He even got the independent trait, which means he'll like doing a lot of things on his own. This is usually good because his parents are going to be working on their aspirations a lot and this way they don't have to stop to spend a lot of time with their toddler outside of when it's necessary. That actually sounds really bad when you type it out. But, hey, it's the sims, right? I'm not certain I like this outfit now, mainly because of the pants, but I really liked how well they matched the shirt. I'll probably keep it on him, I'm just second guessing myself now. Toby loves the giant stuffed animals, if you haven't been able to tell yet. It's adorable.
