Hello everyone and welcome back to The Hayden Legacy! As you know, I'm in my final internship for my elementary education degree right now, so things have been extremely crazy. But, I'm on spring break so I was able to get some play time in! Since I just bought Jungle Adventures, the first order of business for Amanda and Adrien was to go on a Jungle Vacation! They went to the museum first to check things out. After buying a few supplies (I'll be honest, I have no idea what I'm doing) they went out to explore the jungle. Amanda got attacked by bees randomly, but had the sense to stand still and hope they disappeared - which worked so that was pretty cool. The waterfall was really pretty, and definitely one of my favorite areas. It gave them a flirty buff. Excavating is pretty cool too. Especially since I like to complete the different collections. Of course, since they were both flirty they rolled up the want to woohoo in bush, so I obliged. I thought it was pretty cool in the temple that there was a little room with an excavation site built. They collected a lot of cool artifacts while they were there. A random skeleton came to talk to them at one point as well, which was pretty interesting. They're cool looking, I think. Unfortunately, while trying the different traps to see which one worked, Amanda was lit on fire. Adrien for some reason had left the temple and I couldn't get him back in time to extinguish her and the Grim Reaper said no to his pleas for her life, so Amanda has died. *I later found out you can examine the traps to eliminate some of the wrong options. Upon arriving back on the home lot, Myrtle became an adult cat. I had sent Adrien to Willow Creek to begin fishing so that we could break the rules and resurrect Amanda. While there, Caleb Hayden from generation 6 was there for a club gathering along with his cousin Ashleigh and since they were both vampires, they died. Adrien is still really sad about the departure of his wife, and I mean, who can blame him? Especially since now he spends most of his time fishing while I have Erika work on gourmet cooking skill. Amanda did invite Adrien to the romance festival though, and I was hoping I could somehow get her ghost to move in. But then I remembered that required the item from someone who's reached the top of the author career. Adrien finally caught the fish he needed, and so he headed home to play with his twin daughters. Afterall, they no longer had a Mom and I'm sure they'd like to spend some time with their father. Their birthday arrived quickly, and because I'm working on Erika's gourmet cooking skill, they got a fancier cake than normal for their birthday. Caroline aged nicely with an interesting aspiration and trait combination. Daphne also aged nicely, and while it's hard to see here, she doesn't have much of a neck thought so it's weird. I decided to keep up with the matching outfits because it's adorable when twins dress alike. Since it was taking so long for Erika to get her gourmet cooking skill up I decided that even if I resurrect Amanda, I would let one of the twins be heiress, so I went ahead and rolled for heir and Caroline won! As a consolation prize, I adopted a hedgehog for Daphne. Myrtle really liked the hedgehog and her favorite place to sit is now on top of the cage. Adrien has finally taken the time to start uncovering and authenticating the artifacts that he and Amanda found on their trip. Myrtle ran away one evening, and I got this sweet picture of her and Adrien when she came back. I feel like a lot of this chapter has been sad and negative, and that's not ending any time soon because Evan's time has come and he is now passing away. Myrtle and Erika were the only ones there to witness it. Meet Fidget, he's the family's new kitten that I got to cheer everyone up after Evan's passing. I thought this picture was great - Adrien wasn't there in time to save Amanda, but when he caught on fire, she was there to save him from the fire. Fidget is a full grown cat now - so now it's time for breeding with Myrtle! I just want to say this animation is super adorable. Daphne has completed her Whiz Kid aspiration. Next she'll work on Rambunctious Scamp. Cat pregnancies clearly don't last very long because Myrtle is already in labor. Myrtle gave birth to two babies - the one in the back is a boy that looks just like Fidget and his name is Cooper. The other is a girl named Missy who is a good mix of both of her parents. Watching the two interact together is precious. I decided to assemble one of the relics that Adrien and Amanda found and activate it. Without thinking though, I activated it on Adrien. Thankfully, it's a blessing not a curse. He got the blessing of new relationships. IS THIS NOT THE CUTEST THING EVER?! Daphne has completed another aspiration and is now working on Artistic Prodigy. Cooper has grown into an adult cat. He looks just like his father only he almost looks permanently cross-eyed. Missy also aged into a lovely cat - I see some of her Mom in her but I do think she looks mostly like her father. All four cats like to torment the poor hedgehog and sit on or near his cage at all hours. There's almost always one cat at the cage at all times. Daphne has completed Artistic Prodigy and will now be working on social butterfly, but I don't know if she'll get far. Afterall, her sister has it and hasn't gotten any progress. Adrien's birthday is tonight, but Cooper thought he'd sample the cake first. But based on the look on his face, I wonder if he attempted to eat the candle instead. After scolding the cat, Adrien blew out his birthday candles. He aged nicely and doesn't look much different. The next evening it was time for the twins to become teenagers. They both aged into very unfortunate eyebrows and clothing, so I can't wait to give them their make-over. Post make-over Caroline looks a lot better. She rolled one of the Jungle Adventure aspirations, so that'll be pretty cool. Daphne aged nicely as well, and rolled the other Jungle Adventure aspiration. *Okay, so maybe they didn't roll them because I didn't think they were in the generator, so I did just give them the aspirations so I could try them out. The girls look very similar and I do see a lot of Amanda and Adrien in both girls. I gave them clothes from the JA pack since I thought that would be fitting for them. Now that they are teens, the twins and their father headed to the jungle to explore together. Maybe this time Adrien won't disappear if his daughters need him. That's where we'll leave this chapter. I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope to have another chapter out very soon! In the meantime, check in with me over at BoolProp or the official forums! SiMania is currently down, but we are working on getting it moved to a new website!
