Welcome back to the Kennedy Legacy! I wanted to have a chapter out sooner, but due to something arising within the challenge that I wanted to get clarification from Mystic/Pinstar about to verify if it was against the rules or not, I had to wait. But, more on that later!
Also, there aren't quite as many pictures as I would've liked because I was streaming them on Twitch, and kind of forgot to take pictures! If you're interested, I'd love to have you follow me on Twitch. I plan to stream my playing these guys from time to time: www.twitch.tv/crimetape
At the end of the last chapter, baby Hailey was born and Matthew was having a pre-parental panic attack. He finally calmed down to cuddle his daughter.
Also, am I the only one who sometimes reads it as pre-PATERNAL instead of parental?
I love that Anastasia is a neat sim because she gets happy from cleaning up their tiny little home. I mean, have YOU ever looked that happy taking the trash out?
Despite being a neat sim, Anastasia still rolled up a whim to have a mud fight, so I let her and Matthew throw mud at each other in the backyard. That's some good husband and wife bonding right there.
Unfortunately, a thunderstorm started and Matthew got struck by lightning. He doesn't seem to mind though.
I really love the breast feeding interaction, but it looks more like she's impaling the baby's face with her boob when you take the censor away lol.
I can't believe that it's already time for little Hailey to become a toddler, she's precious too.
Post make-over, we have an even prettier toddler on our hands. I really love the little headband on this hair, which is the main reason that I picked it.
Of course, since there was still a thunderstorm, she immediately got sad.
Here's a quick look at what the family's house is looking like nowadays. It's nothing fancy, but it'll do for now.
So, the day before the 4th of July I was playing my family when the lottery holiday popped up. Thinking they wouldn't win much, and because it wasn't in the rules yet, I went ahead and had them play. Well, Anastasia won a million simoleans from the lottery.
At this point, I figured even though I got it legally, it was probably against the rules so I took a break from playing and contacted Mystic and Pinstar about it, their response was: “Knowing the Sims, they don’t make the lotto have as bad as the odds of a RL lotto. I’m gonna ban it for its ability to RNG nuke all the financial parts of the challenge.”
Which then led to rule 23 of the legacy challenge: "Your Sims may not participate in the random Lottery holiday that appears as the chance for winning an enormous amount of money would make the financial parts of this challenge far too easy."
So, I had to cheat their one million simoleans away which was a really sad moment for me, because I had built them this really amazing house on another lot just in case they decided to allow it.
A bathtub is an unavoidable purchase when you have pets or toddlers in your home. So, a good portion of the 3k simoleans they had left after cheating their money back down went towards purchasing a shower with a bathtub for in their bathroom.
During thunderstorms, the sims umbrella has a chance to break and do this. Well, it happens a lot and as you can see, Anastasia is less than thrilled.
This is Anastasia's hot weather outfit - which she's wearing to go try the food at the spice festival.
Meanwhile, Hailey has decided that it's a great idea to put confectioners sugar and chocolate syrup everywhere. She's much messier than some of my other sims.
Have a crazy inquisitive toddler at home? I heard the cure is to get pregnant with more.
It looks like Matthew agrees with my sentiment because he's less than thrilled with the announcement of Anastasia's pregnancy.
Also, she got big really fast so I'm thinking multiples!
It's time for Hailey's birthday! I'm excited to see what she looks like as a child.
She grew up cute but with a rather unfortunate style choice.
After a quick trip to the mirror, we see that she is an art loving artistic prodigy. Very rarely do I get sims who have aspirations and traits match up this well.
I tried to dress her a little warmer since it's fall and I really like how this outfit turned out.
Anastasia has gone into labor! I decided to send her to the hospital to give birth, and I sent her alone because it's just easier that way. Plus, I kind of forgot you could do that until I was watching someone's twitch stream.
First born, with a random number of 92 (yes, I had to roll the die 92 times) is baby boy Donald!
Second we have baby girl Colette, who I had to roll the die 61 times for.
It's Thanksgiving and even though this looks ridiculously tacky, I have decorated the family home!
To help out with decorations a little more, Hailey makes some holiday crafts. Which, might I add is a super cool feature of seasons.
Of course, it's not Thanksgiving without a gnome to appease to I purchased the bear gnome and Matthew tried to appease him with coffee.
Needless to say, he was less than thrilled with the coffee and kept shocking Matthew.
Finally, Hailey was able to appease the gnomes and the family was able to enjoy a grand meal together.
Also, I have no idea why my sims want to keep wearing their cold weather outfits inside - there's a roof, and they have a thermostat.
The twins have grown up into toddlers! And I assure you, Donald (left) is definitely a boy, he just looks very feminine before his make-over.
After a make over, Donald looks a lot better. He's extremely cute, but unfortunately since this is a strict matriarchy, he will not be eligible for heir.
Colette is also adorable, though she has a weird eyebrow shape. I love her red hair though.
This picture serves a few purposes:
1. Matthew completed the part of his aspiration that required him to do some woodworking.
2. You can see your sim's breath when it's cold and I love that.
Donald hunted Matthew down to the ends of the earth to ask for a diaper change. By the time he got there, Matthew had passed out.
Hailey has completed her Artistic Prodigy aspiration. Up next I'm going to have her work on Whiz Kid.
So, using the heating/cooling system is basically mandatory with seasons, but man does it make your bills more expensive.
Tonight we have a double birthday - up first is our lovely founder who is becoming an adult tonight. She's put on a few pounds from all the grand meals she's had, but she's still gorgeous.
It's also Matthew's birthday. He didn't seem to age one bit! Just got a few wrinkles on his face.
IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR ~
I really love decorating my sim's houses for Christmas, it's amazing.
I also love that you can decorate the tree as a family.
And open presents together (also, this net them a decent chunk of change when I sold some of the items. Not enough to be cheating or anything though.)
I have to say, even though this was the second Christmas in this family, it was really cool being able to experience it with a child in the house.
Hailey completed her Whiz Kid aspiration and now is working on Rambunctious Scamp.
Working out wasn't seeming to make much of a difference on the weight that Anastasia gained so I used her rewards points to buy the "Insta-Lean" potion.
Another double birthday! This time, our lovely twin toddlers are growing up.
They both aged into very adorable children, but I think Donald is a little bit cuter than Colette.
Donald is super adorable and I think he's probably the cutest of all the kids.
Colette did age nicely though. Overall I'm very pleased with this generation.
To work on both of the twins' aspirations I sent them to a community lot to play on a jungle gym and make friends.
Colette: Don't worry Donald, we'll still be the best of friends if I'm chosen for heiress.
Oh, about that, I rolled for it and your sister, Hailey, is the heiress. Sorry about that.
Colette: Oh, well, that just means I won't have to live without my twin, and I'm okay with that!
The Kennedy Legacy is the first legacy that I created after purchasing the seasons expansion pack. It is also the first legacy I have kept score in for TS4.

Upon the birth of a sim, I will be using a random number generator to generate a number between 1 and 100. I will then click the randomize name button that many times and select the name that it lands on. So, the name of all sims will be totally random.
Note: in the case of a duplicate name, I will click the dice an extra time and use the next unused name.
