Hello everyone! Sorry I have been MIA lately. This year has been even harder than last year in regards to teaching. I feel like I never have any energy or motivation to do much of anything. On top of that, I've also just been playing a lot of Animal Crossing the few times I've actually felt like doing something. But, I finally was motivated to play The Sims again, and decided to start a 100 baby challenge. Here's our founding matriarch. Her name is Tallulah Cien. When I loaded CAS to make her, this wasa actually the sim that was there. I only changed her make up, hair style, hair color. eye color, and accessories. But the outfit and the facial structure, etc. were the same.
According to ThinkBabyNames.com, the name Tallulah possible derives from a Gaelic name meaning "fruitful woman." Which, given the nature of this challenge I thought was fitting. Cien is Spanish for hundred. It's one of the few things I remember from taking Spanish in college. She has a typical family oriented personality for a matriarch. I figured proper and cheerful would help make getting donors easier.
This is the home I moved her in to start. I don't plan on it being long term, but I was wanting to get a feel for the new world since I haven't had a chance to play since it came out.
The lot's default trait was homey. I added Child's Play and Good Schools. It came with two lot challenges: wild foxes and simple living. While out looking for her first donor, we did the maze that leads to the snail statue.
The first man she meets is the Creature Keeper, Michael Bell.
They hit it off well, and head back to Tallulah's place to try for the first of many babies.
She gets pregnant on the first try. Michael doesn't seem very excited about getting the lady he just met pregnant, however.
Her house came with a little garden, so she spends a lot of her free time working in it. This is helpful financially, but it's also required because of the simple living lot challenge. Which, I unfortunately don't think I can remove based on the wording of the rules. I also had her take a job in the gardener career since it's a job where she can work from home while she's of child bearing age.
Tallulah finds it a bit strange that the grocery delivery guy brings her groceries into the house and puts them onto her table.
Tallulah's lot came with a chicken coop as well, and here is the first chicken that was hatched! It was really cute to watch.
Soon, a panicked Michael and a concerned Tallulah arrive at the hospital to have their baby. I decided I'd invite the fathers to the hospital, just to see how they react lol. This is the first time Michael has seen Tallulah since getting her pregnant.
Tallulah promptly heads into the hospital room and gives birth.
Part way through the delivery process, it glitches and hangs like this for a few minutes. Tallulah seems very concerned about her new levitation abilities.
But, it finally straightens back out so that Tallulah is able to give birth to our first baby.
For the naming in this challenge, I had the idea to name children randomly by rolling the dice based on their birth order. Similar to my challenge where I randomly rolled how many times I had to roll for their name. A friend of mine is actually doing this for her baby challenge as well, and I thought it was neat!
So, after a single roll for baby one, meet Humberto Cien. Upon arriving home, Tallulah changed back into her hospital gown. The first few days, I hadn't noticed many foxes from the wild foxes lot challenge. But now they won't stop showing up. They're so cute though.
Tallulah begins pursuing Simon Scott for her second donor. Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention to the time and he had to go home before they could try for a baby. I'm sure his wife wouldn't have approved of him spending the night.
It's officially Humberto's birthday!
He's very handsome, and looks a lot like his father.
Simon was finally able to come back over, and Tallulah is now pregnant again with her second baby of the challenge!
This pregnancy has been a lot harder on her since she's also had to keep a toddler alive.
Humberto has maxed out movement.
While potty training Humberto, Tallulah has another accident. I feel like that might be a bit counterproductive. Humberto kind of looks like he's going to have a nervous breakdown standing in his mother's urine. Simon and Tallulah arrive at the hospital and are greeted by the same doctor that delivered Humberto.
Luckily, this time there are no glitches and Tallulah gives birth to a healthy baby boy named Davin.
Donor three is Bjorn Bjergsen. Do I feel guilty using a married man again? A little. But, it's The Sims.
Their first attempt was not successful, and it took them a few tries. While Tallulah and Bjorn are trying to conceive baby three, Humberto is maxing his imagination skill on the porch when his father comes and just stares at him.
It was also at this point that I realized that the rules had changed since I played my last 100 baby challenge and the toddlers only need to reach level 3 of each skill, not max. After three tries, Tallulah finally conceives.
Tallulah: I'm pregnant!
Bjorn: You mean, you're in labor? Tallulah: No, I just conceived. Bjorn: But why the hospital gown? Tallulah: I'm not really sure, it's just comfortable. But yeah, we're having a baby! Bjorn then does a happy dance. I feel like he's hoping for a son, since he has only daughters with his wife.
Humberto maxes out his potty skill.
Davin's birthday has arrived, and even Humberto comes to watch his little brother grow up. Davin is a good mix of both parents right now. I'll be curious to see who he looks like when he's older.
Maxed communication, because I already had done it for two and was close with the others.
Maxed thinking, the last of his toddler skills.
Now that all of his toddler skills are maxed out, Humberto can grow up.
He still looks a lot like his father, but I do see some of Tallulah in there too.
Tallulah immediately starts helping Humberto with his homework.
Tallulah goes into labor and arrives at the hospital. Bjorn leaves immediately because of the storm.
The doctor also left immediately due to the storm, so another doctor showed up to deliver the third baby.
Looks like Bjorn can only make girls. Meet baby girl Kyleigh Cien.
Upon arriving home, Tallulah invites Kabir Kumar, the doctor that just delivered her daughter, over to be the next donor. My husband made fun of me for doing this. She conceived on the first try. Doctor Donor seems a bit concerned.
Davin is not happy about having a little sister, but he just reached level 3 in potty which means he has level 3 of all skills.
Since I didn't max Davin's skills out and I actually did things the right way, he grows into a child much quicker than his big brother did.
Davin has more of his Mom's facial features I think.
I bought the new play tent for them and the boys love playing in it.
It's time for Kyleigh's birthday!
Oh my goodness, look at her! She looks mostly like her Mom but with her Dad's eye color.
Seriously, I can't get over how cute she is. That's where we'll leave this chapter! I will try to have another chapter out soon! Feel free to check in with me over at BoolProp or on my Twitch Stream in the meantime, I'd love to chat!
